Applelec Marine
Client: Applelec Marine, UK / Mallorca
Role: Freelance Graphic Designer
Discipline: Marketing Collateral, Print Advertising
Deliverable: 4-page marketing leaflet, magazine advertisments, promotional flyers

The Brief
Applelec Marine manufactures bespoke lighting systems and custom yacht lettering for the superyacht sector—a specialist division of award-winning UK signage manufacturer Applelec. Operating in a niche B2B market serving yacht builders, refit facilities and design studios, they needed print collateral that communicated technical capability and premium quality to industry specifiers.
The challenge: translate complex product specifications and manufacturing credentials into accessible, visually compelling materials that worked in both trade magazine contexts and as direct sales tools.
The Approach
The design prioritised product clarity over decoration, giving space to Applelec Marine's lighting installations and custom lettering projects through strong photography and clean layouts. Technical details—materials, finishes, customisation options—were organised for quick scanning, while project imagery demonstrated real-world application on completed yachts.
Magazine advertisements were designed for impact in crowded marine trade publications, using visual hierarchy and concise messaging to differentiate Applelec's bespoke manufacturing from off-the-shelf suppliers. The 4-page leaflet functioned as both a leave-behind and an introductory piece, balancing aspirational project photography with practical product information.

The Outcome
The collateral supported Applelec Marine's positioning as a premium supplier within the superyacht build and refit sector, providing their sales team with professional materials that matched the quality of their manufacturing. Consistent visual treatment across leaflet, adverts and flyers reinforced brand recognition in a specialist market.
